Crispin currently works principally as a conductor. He has also performed professionally as a violinist, baroque violinist, solo singer, choral singer, and keyboard continuo player, and has edited many works for publication. He is the conductor of The Musicall Compass - which he founded while a post-graduate student at the Royal College of Music - and of three choral societies.
He is also regularly engaged as a guest conductor by symphony orchestras and choirs. He has conducted numerous symphonic, operatic and choral works at London's most prestigious venues, as well as on BBC Radio 3.
Crispin gives many educational workshops for children, and in 2008 was delighted to conduct a massive production of Britten's 'Noyes Fludde' which involved over 1000 children working alongside famous opera singers and actors.
Crispin also regularly gives singing recitals, and is a frequent soloist for various societies, most recently singing Mahler's 'Kindertotenlieder' with symphony orchestra. He studies singing with Christopher Field.
